Our Story
HeyBuddy Outdoors started in our garage-literally. After buying, storing, and eventually donating gear our kids outgrew in months, we realized there had to be a better way. We're parents of three who believe the best childhood memories happen outside, not in front of screens, and that too many families are fighting devices, clutter, and cost at the exact same time.
So we built HeyBuddy Outdoors as a premium kids outdoor gear library - not a subscription box. We help families try the right gear, in the right size, at the right moment, without filling the garage with stuff they'll outgrow by next season.
Every piece we send out is gear we'd feel good using with our own kids. We're starting in Atlanta because this is home, and because we think more families deserve an easier way to choose campouts, creek walks, range days, fishing trips, and backyard adventures over one more screen.

Every plan includes warm-season and cold-season swaps — when the calendar turns, so does your gear. Growth spurt? Our Right Size Guarantee covers a free swap to the right fit. Want more swaps? Add them for a small fee, or go Trailblazer for unlimited.
We focus on kids ages 5–10 — the sweet spot where they’re growing fast, trying everything, and outgrowing gear every season. We size and curate for that range, from first-timer kits to step-up setups.
Camping, hiking, fishing, fly fishing, biking, archery, field sports, hockey, golf, and even spectator gear like sideline chairs and canopies. If it gets kids outside, we’re adding it.

All our gear is safety-checked, properly sized, and age-appropriate. That said, adventure means a little risk — that’s part of the fun. We’re happy to help with gear fit and activity readiness. For anything activity-specific, we’d point you to a local guide or instructor.
